Lec­ture by Prof. Manuel A. Rendón M. The lec­ture will briefly present two research projects devel­oped in Brazil by the Fed­er­al Uni­ver­si­ty of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) Engi­neer­ing Faculty.

The first one financed by Petro­bras devel­oped a mod­el and soft­ware appli­ca­tion for sim­u­la­tion of elec­tro-mechan­i­cal and ther­mo­dy­nam­ic tran­sients, for inte­grat­ed eval­u­a­tion of a co-gen­er­a­tion pow­er plant in an iso­lat­ed grid with a local load, an oil refin­ery, both owned by Petrobras.

The sec­ond relates to mount­ing a test bed for air­craft hybrid-elec­tric propul­sion the first of this kind in Brazil, financed by EMBRAER.
